Hi there! I’m Rachal, 28 years old, owner & caretaker of Fluffgang Cattery, founded in 2020.
My big family, which includes my parents & five sisters all take pride in the few litters we raise per year. I couldn't give so much attention & loving care to each of my fur babies without the tremendous support from my family. It truly takes a village to properly socialize kittens. Besides being my cats full-time caretaker, I also work another full-time job in the hospitality industry, So I am glad there is always a human for them to cuddle with, to play with & to keep a careful eye on when I am not home. To say they are in the best of hands is an understatement! I grew up loving and wanting all kinds of animals but having dogs & cats is an absolute MUST for me & I don't think I will ever have neither! They complete me :)
In 2024-2025 I plan to phase out Scottish Folds & focus on just my British Shorthair cats. I want all my kittens to be like Joker. He is HUGE & dense. He has tiny ears, super chubby cheeks & the most perfect plush bunny coat. I can't wait to start keeping back Joker babies that fit that standard & start showing locally.
My goal is to work towards thicker boned British cats with sensually soft dense coats & little ears making them have the most adorable faces. I feel I am already headed in a good direction with my current cats.
I love all colors of the rainbow especially in British Shorthairs. If it was possible I would produce every color they come in! I've found that I do have absolute favorites which are chocolate, lilac & torties/reds.
I've decided to focus on those colors specifically for 2025. I feel less variation allows me to select keeper kittens more easily. Furthermore, I want to steer my cattery towards more solids with the occasional bi-color for fun. This means I'll be looking to add a Cinnamon or Chocolate Stud soon for 2025!
All of my queen girls are very cuddly alongside my amazing King Joker. They all embody exactly what I want in my kittens. British are not typically known for being snuggly so I want to continue to breed towards that goal.
When choosing to hold back kittens I take into account color and type, but temperament is first & foremost to me. I won't hold back a kitten that is stand off-ish or shy in anyway. I've been so thankful to Joker as his temperament shines through so much in his kittens.
I try to choose the most outgoing & friendly kitten in the bunch to carry on my lines. In the end, I am producing kittens for your family. I want you to be incredibly happy that you chose me!
My kittens are born in a quiet and cozy closet. This allows me to keep a very close eye on mother and newborns. My cats are never caged so mothers are allowed to take breaks away from kittens as needed. Since my cattery is small I am able to devote a lot of space and time to each litter and I am very very fortunate to have all my queens get along with each other.
Once kittens start walking around I move them to a clearly loved pen so they can learn to drink water and eat with mom. Here I also litter train the kittens and provide them scratchers & toys. My family is able to hold them and play with them so much more now!
My cats are not caged which means they get free roam of the entire house! They are allowed to sleep with whoever they choose. My queens have lots of cat trees and toys. They get fresh water every day. Thankfully they are so well mannered and not messy at all.
